Data and Fiber Cable Technician/ Installers

If you are an expert with a minimum of 10+ years in the area of Structured Cabling and Fiber Optic installations, we would like to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities include;

Running, pulling, terminating, and splicing copper and fibre optic cables (CAT5, CAT6, low voltage cables, 25 pairs, 50 pairs, and Fiber). Install Network Racks, Mounting telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, Access Points and Security Cameras following industry standards, best practices and manufacturer requirements.

Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, cabinets, J-hooks or D-rings) by using power or manual fasteners, drills or other power equipment.

Document network by labelling cables and recording as-built diagrams and specifications. This includes Fluke Testing of installations.

Must work well with little supervision individually and in a team environment and work as a team lead or project manager occasionally on certain projects

Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally

Provide estimated job times and scope of work to sales teams

Valid Driver’s license, working at heights certificate, own vehicle

Certifications of Belden, Panduit, CommScope will be of asset

Part-time hours: 20 to 30 per week
